For those who prioritize raw cutting power and toughness, our high carbon steel model is the perfect choice. High carbon steel has long been revered by woodworkers and toolmakers for its superior edge retention and cutting strength. Only the teeth are hardened, ensuring maximum sharpness and cutting efficiency without making the entire blade brittle. The rest of the blade maintains enough flexibility to handle tough jobs without chipping or snapping. This selective hardening process creates teeth that cut through wood like butter while preserving the overall integrity of the blade. 

To protect the carbon steel from rust, we apply a black oxide finish and a clear coat. This not only increases the corrosion resistance but the black also brings a striking contrast to the oak handle. While carbon steel naturally requires more maintenance than stainless steel, our surface finish significantly reduces the amount of care needed. A teeth pitch of 7 TPI (teeth per inch) means these saws can handle both green and dry wood, as well as softwood and hardwood. It is a versatile compromise for all your outdoor needs. These saws are also capable of cutting through other materials such as plastic and bone. But do remember that bone is quite abrasive and will wear down any blade more quickly than wood.  

Woxna saws feature a 3-phased grind that saw on the pull, i.e. when you pull the saw towards you. This gives you more control, minimizes the risk of buckling and puts less strain on both you and the saw. The teeth are hardened to 62 HRC for a durable sharpness. Our tooth geometry also has more spacious gullets which helps to shed sawdust and mulch efficiently, keeping the cutting path clear and reducing drag.
