The Spyderco Tenacious Folding Knife is a premium Sprint Run / limited-edition upgrade to Spyderco's best-selling "value series" Tenacious platform, elevating this workhorse folder with elite CPM-M4 tool steel for exceptional edge retention, toughness, and wear resistance. Designed as an affordable, full-featured linerlock with proven ergonomics, this variant features a satin-finished blade and textured brown G-10 handle perfect for demanding everyday carry, utility tasks, tactical work, camping, or hard-use scenarios where superior cutting performance matters. It's a no-compromise step up from the standard Tenacious, blending reliability with high-end steel in a practical, user-friendly package.

Specifications:

Blade Length: 3.35–3.39 inches (85–86 mm)

Cutting Edge Length: 3.35 inches (85 mm)

Blade Thickness: 0.122 inches (3.1 mm)

Blade Material: CPM-M4 premium tool steel (particle metallurgy high-vanadium alloy offering outstanding wear resistance, toughness, edge retention, and impact resistance—among the best for hard-use folders that stay sharp longer under abuse)

Blade Style: Drop point (leaf-shaped with full-flat grind for low-friction slicing, excellent piercing, and versatile controlled cutting)

Blade Finish: Satin (clean, polished non-reflective surface that highlights the steel's quality and reduces glare)

Blade Hardness: Approximately 62–64 HRC (optimized for CPM-M4's exceptional performance in edge holding and durability)

Overall Length: 7.71–7.77 inches (196–197 mm)

Closed Length: 4.38 inches (111 mm)

Handle Material: Textured brown peel-ply G-10 (bi-directional textured scales over full stainless steel liners for enhanced grip in wet/dry conditions, rigidity, and strength without added bulk)

Handle Features: Ergonomic contours with prolonged fatigue-free design, textured spine jimping for thumb purchase, Spyderco Trademark Round Hole for fast ambidextrous one-hand opening

Weight: Approximately 4.2 oz (119 g) – substantial yet balanced for confident control

Lock Mechanism: Linerlock (Walker-style with jimped liner for secure, reliable lockup and easy one-hand closing)

Opening Method: Spyderco Round Hole (large diameter for smooth, quick deployment)

Pocket Clip: 4-position reversible (tip-up or tip-down, left or right carry for versatile pocket options)

Other Features: Skeletonized full steel liners (for strength without excess weight), no backspacer (easy cleaning), lanyard hole, plain edge (PlainEdge™ configuration)

The Spyderco Tenacious C122GBNM4P takes the classic Tenacious formula to elite levels: the CPM-M4 blade delivers razor-like longevity and toughness far beyond standard steels (ideal for users who hate frequent sharpening), while the textured brown G-10 handle ensures a secure, fatigue-free grip with the familiar Spyderco ergonomics and Round Hole deployment. The full-flat grind slices effortlessly, the linerlock provides rock-solid security, and the 4-way clip makes carry customizable. As a limited production run (often discontinued once sold out), this is a sought-after upgrade for fans of the Tenacious series or anyone wanting premium tool steel in an affordable, proven platform.

Maintenance tip: Lightly oil pivots periodically for smooth action; the high-vanadium CPM-M4 sharpens well on stones but benefits from diamond or ceramic for best results. A true workhorse elevated to premium status!
