The 2.95-inch, full-flat-ground blade is crafted from Crucible Industries' CPM-15V particle metallurgy tool steel. With nearly 15% vanadium content, this is the most wear-resistant cold-work steel on the market. Its unique alloy composition produces an exceptionally high volume of hard vanadium carbides, translating directly into Phenomenal Edge Retention: Outlasts virtually every other steel, keeping a sharp edge through extended and abrasive cutting tasks. Breathtaking Cutting Performance: The full-flat grind enhances its slicing geometry, making the most of the extreme steel.

Optimized by a Custom Heat Treatment

To ensure maximum performance, the CPM-15V blade is further enhanced by a specialized heat-treating protocol developed by renowned custom knifemaker Shawn Houston. This fine-tuning process unlocks the absolute peak sharpness and edge retention potential of the steel.
