Opinel No. 8 Knife - Laminated Red Birch Handle with 8.5cm Stainless Steel Blade

Designed with the environment in mind, the handle on this knife is made from wood from Finland and the dyes used are non-toxic. This No. 08 model is perfect as a first knife or for anyone who already appreciates precision knives.

Blade Length : 8.5cm

Blade Material : Opinel use Sandvik 12C27 modified stainless steel. It is anti-corrosive thanks to the addition of chrome and requires no special maintenance. Its carbon content of at least 0.40% gives excellent cutting edge.

Handle Material : The Finnish birch is a white wood. We use blocks of coloured and resassembled strips to shape our handles and give them a great appearance.

Safety Ring : Invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955, the Virobloc safety ring is fitted to all folding knives from the N° 06. Cut out of stainless steel, the Virobloc has two sections, one fixed and one sliding. In addition to locking the blade open (safety in use), it is now possible to lock the blade closed (safety in transport).
