Karesuando Grouse Knife - 4.13" Stainless Steel Blade - Birch Handle with Reindeer Antler Handle
A beautiful piece of handcraft made in Swedish Lapland in the traditional style.
The blade is 10cm (4.2 inches) long, 2.1 cm wide and 3.2mm thick, very sharp, and is made from high quality Sandvik 12C27 stainless "surgical" steel.
The blade is hardened to HRC57 to balance ductility and brittleness also enabling it to take an edge extremely well for a stainless steel. It has been sharpened with a flat Scandinavian grind.
The blade extends with an internal tang that stretches approx 3.5" into the handle and is secured very firmly so that it will not come loose. Karesuando offer a Lifetime Guarantee that if the blade becomes loose you will get a replacement knife. The internal tang design is very beneficial from a weight perspective.
The Handle is made from segments of oiled curly birch and reindeer antler, shaped and polished to perfection.
The cow hide leather sheath has a reindeer leather belt hanger attached to it and is decorated with an embossed, traditional pattern.
Not only can this knife be used for hunting and fishing, it is also suitable for carving and a range of outdoor activities such as survival exercises, bushcraft and camping.
